Oh Where OH WHERE did my Week go - Oh where Oh where could it be?

Wow last week sped by and the weekend was caught up in the draft of it and went sweeping away also!

Monday found Randy at the airport flying to Tennessee for the week - with me looking forward to seeing him in Atlanta on Friday night!

Tuesday - We found out that by July 4th we will have 4 grandsons and Rylee. Yes Nyki found out she also is expecting a boy so after Jakob & Andrew are born we will have to figure out how all of us can get together for an updated family picture - our old one isn't even a year old yet!

Wednesday morning found me at the airport at 4:30 a.m. catching a flight to Indianapolois (sp?) for a testing session of the new accounting system at work. My co-worker/friend was to meet me in Atlanta airport for the flight to Indy - oh how I was looking forward to 2 hours of talking without the phone ringing and interrupting us. Christine couldn't make it.....long story short her son has the chicken pox. So I flew on alone. Met some other coworkers at the airport and went to our corporate office and started learning. Went to Cheese Burger in Paradise for supper - now that is a fun place!

Thursday was more training and the beginning of a cold - skipped out on the big get together at Fox & Hound to be in bed by 8:30 p.m. - I'M GETTING SO OLD!!!!! Actually I would have loved to go but was feeling crappy and since we were all sharing a rental car was afraid that if I got to feeling worse everyone would have to leave so........I sacrificed. Also this was Britt's birthday - with both of us out of town - her hubby working late and being 8 months pregnant with 2 to toddlers wasn't the best of all birthday's for her!

Friday we wrapped up the testing - btw I think I will love the new system. Went to the airport where Christine and I were to be on the same flight again but NO I WAS all by myself! Looking forward to meeting my Honey in Atlanta for the return flight to Tampa - kind of hoping they had overbooked the flight so we could spend the night at the airlines expense in Atlanta. Landed in Atlanta listened to my messages and Randy had missed his flight in Nashville/Memphis where ever he was coming from in Tennessee. Called him back - was mad but not really mad - I guess disappointed is a better word. As I was walking and talking to him I glanced at the monitors to see where my (also lonely) flight took off from. Headed on the Tram to E3 from A2 - long way apart pulled a muscle in my right calf on the way. Get off the tram and call Nyki to chat with her - find the terminal and am hanging out talking to Nyki. I hear them say now boarding for Salt Lake City and I suddenly realize I am in D3 and only have 20 minutes to make it to E3. Remember my leg is hurt - burning like someone had thrown a match in the muscle. Hobbled to the tram again - crying by now and freaking to Nyki on the phone. Get off at the next stop which should be E but NO I GOT on the wrong tram I am in C - limp over to the other tram ride it to E - and go rushing to E3 which is one of the furtherest from the tram area (like D was) I get there they are boarding I rush on the plane and as I'm going by the Flight Attendant motions for me to hang my DIL's jacket (I had bought her in Indy) in the closet where they hang their jackets. Great idea! I get to Tampa all SAD.....knowing it will be 12:30 a.m. before Randy gets in and not having eaten supper - thinking we would eat together since our flight landed at 8:15. Get off the tram and see Britt and the boys waiting for me.....HAPPY - GLAD I'm not alone, am hugging them and thanking her for coming (Nyki and Randy had called her to let her know I was bummed so she thought it would be a good idea to meet me - and it was). Am loving on Trace who is wanting to know where Grandpa is and realize I don't have Tasha's jacket. CRAP! I grab my ID and boarding pass go back thru first security block - having to explain why I need to go back to the terminal side. Get past her - ride the tram again (don't forget my LEG hurts) see the Pilot from my flight and the flight attendant that had me hang it up to begin with (EVIL MAN!) They tell me it is at the gate. I go thru security having to explain to 2 different TSO employees why I needed back on the airside when I didn't have a ticket for an outgoing flight. They let me by I get to the gate - furtherest from the tram of course, and NO ONE IS THERE! I'm freaking out by now - look up and see a guy walking off with my jacket - still covered in the J.C. Penny's sack from where I bought it in Indy. I yell hey that's mine - he turns gives it to me and says I saved him from alot of paperwork. Go back over to the terminal, go to supper with Britt and Boys come back to airport (we took her car - so I didn't have to pay parking twice) and waited for 2.5 hours for Randy. Interesting place to people watch! Saw a guy get arrested.

Saturday we cleaned up the yard - bagging 18 LARGE YARD trash liners with leaves. Yard looks much better - but was too pooped to go to the party we were suppose to go to that night. btw my leg didn't hurt any at all when I got up Saturday morning, but was burning again by the time I finished mowing while Randy lawn vacummed the leaves.

Sunday - was church and lunch to celebrate Britt's birthday - and lots of boys time. Went on a scavenger hunt with the boys and Britt - AC thinks if you see something twice it should be added to the list so we could check it off! Listed started with 6 items ended with over 20, but we had a blast! Then it was time for a new MONDAY - hopefully will be a much better week!

Weekend out shines WEEK!

After the week I had last week I was really looking forward to the weekend! Friday night was just Randy and I - not really doing anything special. We did have to go buy a new DVD player the one in the living room had started not reading certain disks and so........We bought one. Not really exciting huh.

Saturday morning we got up and went to the STATE FAIR!!!!! I love fair corndogs and I LOVE the Florida state fair. Britt, RC & the boys met us there. I've discovered that the fair is even cooler with little guys - speaking of boys I just found out that my eldest is expecting a boy (if you remember that is what my middle child is expecting also) So by July 4th I will have 4 Grandson's and 1 Granddaughter........LIFE IS GOOD!

With work being crazy - I won't be blogging until the weekend again. I'll be in Training - YUCK!

My Week isn't for the WEAK!

Monday started out this week like just about any Monday.

With rumors my boss was going to quit, and those that know me know I adore my boss - we have a very unique relationship if I don't quit at least twice a day so he can say "You can't quit your fired!" he is worried that something in terribly wrong. I asked about the rumor he denied it but only time will tell - I know he's not happy with the changes brought on by the purchase of our company. Also my work load was beyond what any two people could do much less just me!

With no electricity when we got home - people behind us had it but all 3 blocks in front of us and at least one to the west of us had NONE. Randy and I went out to eat - hoping it would be back on when we got home. But no luck - it was out for over 13 hours. Which meant no recording of the only funny/light shows we watch. Also meant that the coldest night in Tampa since we have lived here for 7 years we HAD NO HEAT! Luckily we are campers and we could grab our camp lights to see by and our sleeping bags to keep from freezing. We called it a night at 9:30 and climbed in bed to get warm. Our house was down to 52 degrees before the heat came on at 2:30 a.m.

Tuesday - Valentine's Day
Randy got me a gift card - YEAH, I got him an ID bracelet in Titanium (still have to get it engraved but wasn't sure if he wanted initials or what so.....) Went to work where I rearrainged and cleaned and prepared the office for a Vendor presentation on Wednesday. Worked on my work load and was at the office until after 7 p.m. - Randy and I did go out to eat (again) and he bought me the coolest flashing Heart pin. But by the time we got home we were both exhausted!

Wednesday
Was an extremely long and tiring day with the Vendor Show and the work load that seemed to develope a life of it's own and grew overnight. Again I worked late - not as late as the night before but I began to counquer the BEAST of the workload.

Thursday
Started the day off excited thinking it was FRIDAY - so enough said about my week!!!!!!!!!!!

missuzj (Sophie's mom) gave us a writing assignment wherein you have to take 2 times in your life and compare them by using the phrases "I used to" and "but now I".
Here's my homework:

I used to rock my dolls and wish I would grow up faster and move on to real babies
.....But now I rock my grandbabies and wish they wouldn't grow up so fast.

I used to watch Randy in 8th grade and wish he would notice me and know I was in LOVE!
....But now I watch Randy and know that ne notices me and that he's in LOVE.

I used to think if I could just make it through High School I could be my own boss
....But now I know that I haven't been my own boss since High School

I used to think my parents were stupid and trying to ruin my life
.....Now I think my parents are great and know they want only the best for me

Okay people I want to see your assignment!

Randy Talking Here

My love for Twila is unwavering and with Valentine’s coming up I thought I would share the following:

A Valentine’s Day Prayer
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” –

I CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 NIV

Lord,
Because love is patient…Help me to be slow to judge, but quick to listen. Hesitant to criticize, but eager to encourage, remembering your endless patience with me.

Because love is kind… Help my words to be gentle and my actions to be thoughtful. Remind me to smile and to say “Please” and “Thank You” because those little things still mean so much.

Because love does not envy or boast, and it is not proud… Help me have a heart that is humble and sees the good in others. May I celebrate and appreciate all that I have and all that I am, as well as doing the same for those around me.

Because love is not rude or self-seeking… Help me to speak words that are easy on the ear and on the heart. When I’m tempted to get wrapped up in my own little world, remind me there’s a great big world out there full of needs and hurts.

Because love is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs… Help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. When I want to hold onto a grudge, gently help me release it so I can reach out with a hand of love instead.

Because love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth…Help me stand up for what is right and good. May I defend the defenseless, and help the helpless. Show me how I can make a difference.

Because love always protects and always trusts… Help me to be a refuge for those around me. When the world outside is harsh and cold, may my heart be a place of acceptance and warmth.

Finally, because love always perseveres… Help my heart continually beat with love for You and others. Thank you for this day when we celebrate love, and for showing us what that word really means. Amen.
