End of Vacation

Well it is back to the real world now.......back at work.........so sad!

We wrapped up our vacation with a Boat Tour of the River Walk - learned that NO BUILDING in San Antonio is allowed to cast a shadow on the Alamo (something I didn't know prior to the boat tour). Trip to San Antonio Zoo - where I had forgotten to charge my camera so I have pictures to show of Snakes and Birds but none of my favorite animals like Lions & Tigers & Bears - Oh MY!

I also had forgotten to state on the earlier post that we had been to Dave and Busters and went into a Cavern and saw Bats and a natural waterfall that is enhanced be a water pump - LOL. Was told we had to go down 100 steps but I counted 260 in and out.....so my knee hurt the rest of the week. I know someone should call me a Wambulance.

Got up Friday morning and went to Nyki's what should have been a 4 to 5 hour trip turned closer to 7 because of a stomach bug I caught.....but oh well we finally got there. Had a great visit with Nyki, Jeremy, Rylee & Jakob - my how the kids had grown in less than 2 months. Got to do my first ever Easter Egg hunt with the Texas Grandkids.......they were funny. Flew out Sunday morning and spent all Day Easter in Airports.....not ideal for a Holiday but the price of the plane ticket was good!

Andrew's birthday was yesterday.....party tonight - hopefully, won't be a LATE night cause I am feeling seriously sleep depraved!

Guess what.....my Glasses that I ordered on February 22 are still not in..................URGHHHHHH I will NEVER use this Eye Doctor Again!

I'm on Vacation

Not from the Blog but in real life.....I promise to post pictures!

I flew into Dallas on Friday the 14th - Randy picked me up at the airport and we drove to my Parents to surprise my Dad for his 70 birthday. He was surprised until about 30 minutes before we got to Amarillo. I called my mom to find out the game plan and she and I talked about Supper since it was 6:30 already. She offered to put a pizza in the oven for us which is what Dad, Mom, Alisha, Justin and the boys were having for supper. I turned her down so we could have Taco Villa knowing that there would not be another chance for it. Met my sister and her husband at Taco Villa where she told me that Daddy knew. As mom was hanging up she said "See you in a little bit" and Dad said who was that. She lied and said it was Zane (my sister) and he said why did the TV say Randy then? Dang the cable company for inventing the ability to display who on the TV.......actually I like it at my house.

Anyway I digressed again........Had a wonderful visit with my parents and my sister's family Friday night. Got up to some alone quiet time with my parents Saturday morning - which was very important cause my 2 aunts that I share my birthday with ........can you imagine getting me ME for a birthday present one year - talk about a rip off! Anyhow.... My mom's sister Bertha (born on her 18th Birthday), her husband and granddaughter that I had never met came in to surprise Dad and his brother and wife Sue (the other one I share a birthday with) her 3 daughters and three of her grandkids came over and my Uncle Ken stopped by for a little while. Daddy was very touched and felt the love I hope - because he is a Great Guy .....but what a talkative bunch there were 25 people in mom's house for the majority of the day with at least 80 conversation going at once.......the young kids so enjoyed playing in the pretty weather.

Sunday morning after Shawn had worked all night Randy and I picked him and Tasha up and we drove to Austin for vacation. (Talk about a long drive but not as long as to Florida hehehehe). We have in no particular order
a: Shopped (a bunch - have been to a store strictly for Law Enforcement Officers and one for Teachers)
b: Saw the Capital
c: the Alamo
d: Walked the River Walk in San Antonio
e: Gone to Coyote Ugly - and Howl at the Moon. (never been bar hoping with my kids before)

I promise pictures soon but need to get ready to head for San Antonio Zoo.......

I was thinking wow it's been awhile since I updated and the 2 people that still read my blog might be wondering if I have fallen off the face of the earth..........No I have not. You can rest easy now.
