After HOURS - DAYS unpacking.......
Packing Day - More Detailed
Robyn, Dennis, Cindy, and David came over to pick up Randy's Motorcycle for Dennis and left with Patio Furniture, Futon, lamps, laundry baskets and the Motorcycle.........which was wonderful for us to not have to figure out what to do with it since it would not fit on the truck. They got Pizza and we had an impromptu party on the Lanai - sitting in their new patio furniture and our lawn chairs......(remember this it comes in handy on the next - previous post.....the one named I'm Back - Part 2)
Everyone was finally gone a little before 11 - Julie and I made one of our famous last minute runs to WALLYWORLD (aka Wal-Mart) since I was deligent to keep our air mattress off the truck so we could sleep on it but not so sharp in keeping an air pump to put air in said mattress. I said goodbye to Britt and her family before I left (they won't be joining us until the week after Father's Day). It is kind of a tradition of mine and Julie to do late night runs to Wal-Mart - in fact I think I have been in Wallyworld more after dark with her than during daylight hours. Got a call from Brittney - she couldn't find her keys and was hoping they had ended up in my purse - they didn't ....... I figured they ended up in a box on the truck and promised I would mail them back to her. The next day Julie found them in her purse and was able to let herself in the old house so she could get the rest of the stuff we had left behind for her (So if you live near go check out her Garage Sale - you might can pick up something you need CHEAP hehehe). Another way God was at work in this move was her having Britt's keys cause RC was getting his brakes worked on....so he could "stop by" hehe.

I'm back post 2
When we should have been on the road we were spending about 3 hours doing this........because of this.
We had all our belongings loaded......we were less than 2 hours from the house having killed ourselves not to mention working Julie and Brittney like slaves the day before to get everything loaded on Friday night so we could get an early start on Saturday morning. Our early start ended up with some relaxing time on the side of the road......now let me tell you about how God blessed us with this. I started out so tense and tired and cranky my body ached and I was stressed. The truck blew the high pressure oil hose and that was all she wrote. We pulled over and Randy called Penske. They sent someone. I got out the laptop and posted on Craigslist about the curb alert of the things we could not take with us because the truck was only so big (and it was the biggest one). I chatted with my BIL in Saudi - read blogs then the sun moved enough that I didn't have good shade anymore between the truck and the beast I drive. Randy had checked the load earlier to make sure everything was fine and thanks to an impromptu Pizza Party the night before two of the lawn chairs were loaded on the back of the truck so we pulled them out and had a nice comfy place to sit. I looked around and noticed that there was a "flood control" area - pure flat cement to direct the run off just a few feet away with Trees shading it. ( the only place for miles because I looked - wow isn't God's timing GREAT!) We moved to the flat surface and chatted - which I have to admit was probably the first time in the week he had been home that we just sat and talked about our dreams, our missing each other during the last few months and our plans for the future. We took a nap - we had a mechanic come look at the truck and establish that it could be fixed with out having to unload and reload everything on another truck. He went and got the part we sat in the shade with the coolness of the breeze blowing over us. Pure Relaxation! Seriously it really was. When we got back on the road I could feel the difference in my tension and Randy said he could also. We only got as far as Tallahassee that night because of the hours broke down but we slept great and started out the next morning refreshed.
Randy drove (I was never a truck drive and he was in a past life - so my job was to keep him awake.....which I did very well thank you). We made it through Alabama, Mississippi, and most of Lousianna without any problems. We stopped in Shreveport to get gas and a trucker told us that the lights on the bed and tow trailer weren't working - so we sat and waited for a mechanic again this time for only 2 - 3 hours (making a total of 7 hours we weren't moving in our MOVE). The guy comes and fixes the truck we make it to Tyler (about 3 hours away from our new HOME) and stop for the rest of the morning since it was about 2 a.m. at this time so it wasn't really for the night. Then we rolled on in - My parents called to see if they could be of any help unloading......be of any help they say - we would NEVER have gotten it done without them! They will never volunteer again!
After many many hours on the road we finally pulled up and saw this......... my first glimpse at my new HOME.....isn't she a beut!
My honey he done good in picking er out!
