Friday Fill In

Here we go:
1. I believe whatever doesn't kill you _will come back to try again_.

3. Why so _many dogs are barking - is all I could think as I was trying to fall to sleep last night.
4. Something is out there, it's _a stupid yapping dog_____.
5. If my life were a sitcom, it would be titled _Momma knows best_.
6. Sitting on my back porch [if you don't have one, use your imagination] I see _inside my neightbor's house.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to _spending time with my honey____, tomorrow my plans include __yard work & maybe some furniture shopping___ and Sunday, I want to _Worship and rest!

Friday Fill In

1. If I could be a fly on the wall I would _like to be in a lawyers office talking to a defendent in a murder trial, hearing all the attorney client privilege conversations_.
2. Jealousy is _a sign of insecurity___.
3. When I see a shooting star my wish would be that _happiness for my children.
4. I'd rather be on vacation than @ work any day!
5. Certain songs when I hear them make me wanna sign the words.
6. If time were in a bottle it could be refilled.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to another walk with my family, tomorrow my plans include sleeping late and vegging (I hope) and Sunday, I want to visit a new church - I'm anxious to find a church home!

Since this PICTURE was taken I have not had all 3 of my kids and their Spouses and the Grandchildren all together.

Until this weekend. See how we have grown (and I'm not just talking about the weight I've gained....More like we have doubled the grandkids.)

Friday Fill In (2 weeks worth)

1. Oh, I can't wait until I have all my kids here.

2. _Soda's - Coke, Cherry Coke, Diet Coke and Mountain Dew....who has room for food?___ is the first thing I see when I open my refrigerator.

3. I never leave home without _my cell phone and purse.

4. If I were a condiment, I would be _Salt_____ because _everyone seems to like it even if it isn't all that good for you__.

5. __Sagging pants and crooked caps__ is really high up on my list of pet peeves.

6. The last thing I thought of before I went to bed was _tomorrow night the boys will be here to kiss me goodnight (I've really missed that this week!)_.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to _Son, DIL, Daughter, and kids getting in SAFELY!____, tomorrow my plans include _having all 3 of my children in the same place for the first time in 3 years.......____ and Sunday, I want to __Stop time so Son and Daughter-in-law don't have to leave___!

JULY 4th Post - Sorry I missed it!

1. Holidays in the summer are the best when family and friends are involved.
2. Steaks are my favorite things to grill.
3. My thoughts are I hope I can make new traditions for the 4th - I so miss my Julie and family traditions.
4. Family time and visiting is what I'm most looking forward to this weekend!
5. My favorite book so far this summer is ummm I have read but cannot think of any of the titles....so.
6.Hitting snooze is the best way to begin a day.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to seeing the FIREWORKS and PICNIC, tomorrow my plans include Swim party and hopefully shopping for a new purse and Sunday, I want to Travel home safely!.

Hello.....Hello......anyone still listening?

Hey guys - I cannot believe that it has been so long since I updated other than the Friday Fill-Ins (which I missed last week and may include at the bottom of this email.

I started my new job yesterday. I like the people I work with - I think I will like the work itself - seems less stressful than my previous job....not so thrilled about the vacation and pay but i am HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH THE COMMUTE! I left my house at 7:50 this morning having to be at work at 8 and was at my desk logged in prior to the computer turning to 8 a.m. - yes I know your jealous! It is wonderful and when you drive a big blue beast that makes up a BUNCH for the lower pay!!! especially with gas prices what they are :)

My nephew's family that was coming to visit over "The 4th" had car trouble and couldn't come so we decided to hang just our family. Then Thursday morning I got up with a dream from the night before bouncing in my head and went and asked Brittney what she thought about a trip to Amarillo for the 4th. She was so excited since part of the family there has never met her youngest two children. She said lets get the guys together and ask them if we can. (keep in mind this is 8 a.m. already).....I go in to tell Randy, Britt and I wanted to talk to him and RC as soon as he could dry off from the shower. Britt goes to tell RC.............Randy says about what and so I tell him and he says it was doable (Boy do I love the guys working out of the house on occasions like this - Not so much the night before but hey you take the bad with the good right?) RC wanted to know what we wanted to talk to them about (which I'm sure they both thought it was to gripe about the night before when they were gone from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. with clients -I know that is the nature of the beast but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow when you have boys asking for the guys ALL DAY LONG!) Anyway Britt told him and he agreed. So the girls did laundry and packed and the guys did work stuff so they could leave and we were on the road by 1:30. We got to Nanny's a little after nine - that's the joys that come with traveling with young children (okay okay Britt I know it was mostly Dad and I that had to stop....but we were just looking out for the kids really we were!)

We spent some wonderful time with all the group in Amarillo - trips like that NEVER seem long enough to really visit with each and everyone One on One but hey it was Great to see them! Spent the 4th at Shawn and Tasha's with Emily, Stephen, and their kiddo's Britt and her crew (Alisha already had plans to go to Canyon, Zane, Steve, Mom & Dad were going to their church) So thinking I didn't want to make my last minute - fly by the seat of my pants - plans mess with their schedule I didn't invite them to come to D with us to see the fireworks......I found out later that by not wanting to intrude some feelings were hurt - which makes me feel bad because it was never my intention to hurt anyone! Saturday was WONDERFUL - we had a pool party at Zane's ate and visited with Mom, Dad and the whole crew - Shawn even came in and joined us for the evening, went to church with them on Sunday and had a wonderful visit. Left about 2:30 for the drive home (Well Randy, RC, & I did - Britt and the kids stayed for the week and will be coming home on Friday, driving in tandem with Shawn and Tasha).

Now that I've bored you with my holiday weekend details - tell me about yours! Also I will post pictures from it soon - I promise (possibly even tonight!)
