Friday Funny - The Princess

Once upon a time there lived a king.

The king had a beautiful daughter, The PRINCESS.But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt.No matter what; metal, wood, stone. Anything she touched would melt.

Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her.

The king despaired. What could he do to help his daughter? He consulted his wizards and magicians. One wizard told the king,"If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands,She will be cured."

The king was overjoyed and came up with a plan. The next day, he held a competition. Any man that could bring his daughter an object that would not melt would marry her and inherit the king's wealth.

THREE YOUNG PRINCES TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE.

The first brought a sword of the finest steel. But alas, when the princess touched it, it melted.
The prince went away sadly.

The second prince brought diamonds. He thought diamonds are the hardest substance in the world and would not melt. But alas, once the princess touched them, they melted. He too was sent away disappointed.

The third prince approached. He told the princess, "Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there."The princess did as she was told, though she turned red.She felt something hard. She held it in her hand. And it did not melt!!!

The king was overjoyed. Everybody in the kingdom was overjoyed. And the third prince married the princess and they both lived happily ever after.

Question: What was in the prince's pants?

M&M's of course. They melt in your mouth, not in your hand.
What were you thinking, you pervert??

TAG I'm IT!!!!!

Well it has finally happened, I have been tagged by one of my most blogger buddies...Shawna! So I must list below 6 WEIRD things about me... (my son-in-laws will say that to limit it to 6 will be very difficult!)

1 - Repetitive noises drive me nuts! I can't stand change jingling, fingernails tapping, ice crunching, paper folding, pens clicking ........when other people do these things I can feel it climb up my spine until I'm so tense I could scream. However I'm okay with doing all of the above things myself.

2 - I think I always have to be "UP" for other people - if I am in a down mood I will cancel things with other people because I think they won't want to spend time with me when "I'm not myself" yet truth be told I am NOT that funny - always happy person that I try to be and that I think others expect me to be so "I'm not myself" ever in front of but a few people EVER.

3 - When I go to a restaurant (which I do more often than I should) I know exactly what I'm going to order. i.e. Bennigans - French Dip; Chili's - Country Fried Steak; Friday's - Shrimp or Fish etc....... I order the same thing at each restaurant 99% of the time (Drives Randy NUTS!)

4 - I go on food kicks - I will have the same thing once a week for months and then get burned out on it and even 2 years later when Randy suggest something we haven't had in forever for Supper I'm like no I'm burned out on it. He doesn't understand how I could get burned out on something and stay that way for years.

5 - I can only cross one eye at a time (and can only hold my left eye in a cross for a couple of seconds) so it's like I cross my right eye, then force my left eye to the corner and then it bounces back.

6 - When I'm home alone I either watch kids shows like (Dora, Bob the builder etc...) or watch Life time movies. If Randy and I are watching TV together it's almost always a detective who done it show that I choose.

Okay I tag ummmmmmm Julie, Tasha, Brittney & Nyki

Same Song New Month

Okay I want to know where I can get off of this roller coaster that has become my life!!!!!!!!!!!

April 1 - I co-coordinated a wedding (turned the wedding over to my predecessor because of Brittney's due date being so close) so I was just assistant which with my control issues that was HARDER for me than doing the whole wedding. I spent a bunch of time saying to myself just because it's not the way you would do something doesn't mean it's wrong!

April 2 - my first born turned 26 (wow am I old!) we had AC's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese - poor kid we all got so caught up in the whole NEW BABY mold that we kind of last minute (actually on his birthday on Thursday 3/30) invited people to meet us at CEC at 3 - We have 2 sets of friends that have children close to his age so we invited just them and grandparents/great-grandparents. 1 family had another birthday starting at 1 but was going to try to swing by. The other family was wiped out from the time change and since we had others invited we couldn't shift the time to accomadate a nap for them they didn't get to come. (the other one that AC really wanted to come besides the ones in the before mentioned families had a death in his family so he wasn't able to attend.) So basically it was AC & Trace playing at CEC - which is really sad for a little guy but he told his mom "It was the bestest party ever!" so .........

April 3 - My new boss started......hmmmmmmmm haven't decided if this is good or bad - but have started getting my RESUME out there! Randy & RC had a BAD case of stomach flu.

April 4- total craziness at work - growing pains I hope - but still took some working late!

April 5 - another crazy day at work - came home to Brittney in tears because AC had the stomach flu - I cleaned the carpet and sent her to church - minus 3 little guys. Bathed the two older ones (due to dreaded flu bug) and had them in PJ's and settled down when Mommy & Daddy came home.....gotta say it didn't stay settled long - AC got sick again (in the carpet) on his way to the bathroom. We found out that Trace is like Grandpa and is a sympathic hurler. So at one point (while RC cleaned the carpet) I coordinated when one needed to move so the other could hurl. Finally got them to bed and all settled in - and the bug seemed to pass as quickly as it did for Daddy & Grandpa.

April 6 - Julie and Eric had a baby GIRL - proving to me that a girl could be born in FLORIDA. With Britt's 3 boys & Julie's 2 boys I had begun to doubt! Spent more time at the hospital than had planned to but man I love new babies! She is wonderful - happy - quiet or at least she was in the first few hours of her life.

April 7 - Wedding rehearsal for another wedding. Brittney had the stomach bug.......so more wildness.

April 8 - Wedding - was beautiful. Have you ever been to a wedding where they did "Sand" instead of a Unity Candle? Had to be the most awesome thing I've ever seen! The whole thing of how their lives join like the two colors of sand and then the way that there's no way to ever completely seperate the sand again like you can NEVER seperate your lives. OH OK you get the idea! (OH I think I forgot to mention that Randy was involved in Training some Reps so he was out the door early and home at bedtime everyday from Wednesday thru Saturday) April 9 - We got up with Randy feeling yucky and me swamped with work so we stayed home and are trying to get caught up on rest and work. So here I am praying that things settle soon cause right now I can't deal with much more at this pace!

March has Marched On

As the last day of March I've been thinking about how glad I am that it is OVER!!!!!!!! Here's a quick recap.

March 1st - Trace (2 year old) had stitches by his ear being removed
March 4th - Coordinated a wedding (it was lovely just quite a bit of work)
March 6th - Brittney broke her leg (8 months pregnant)
March 9th - Randy and I flew to Texas with Trace & AC (3 years old) - met Nyki and drove 7 hours with her and Rylee (1 year old) actually that was really fun!
March 10th - Shawn graduated from Police Academy (proud of him - scared to death for him)
March 9th - 15th got some good visit time with the Texas family - never seems long enough!
March 14th - Boss called me in Texas to let me know that Friday the 17th would be his last day Had a Birthday Party for my daddy (who's birthday was on the 15th)
March 15th - Left around 5 to drive to DFW which was 8 hours away for a flight home. Trace & I took a direct flight and AC and Grandpa (Randy) flew to Miami and then to Tampa (that's what happens when your using frequent flyer miles). I'm just glad that Brittney's boys are such good travelers! They're so good and seem to enjoy flying.
March 17th - Had to say goodbye to the bestest boss I've ever had! Haven't decided if I will stay for a while or start job hunting - I guess I'll wait and see how the new boss works out.
March 19th - Randy flew to San Francisco for a training class for a week.
March 21st - Took Britt to the doctor and found out Baby could come any time - so we hit Babies R Us and Walmart because 8 months was not long enough for us to get prepared - so we had to hurry because it had come upon us quickly!
March 22nd - Before noon I recieve a frantic call from Britt - AC split his head open - stitches were needed - it will leave a scar but for a boy that might just look rugged
March 23rd - as I left for work I told the boys to be careful I needed to work a full day (since I had not since Monday) So at 5:15 when my phone rang and Brittney said I've let you work a full day can you come home and take me to the hospital now I felt really bad. I called Julie to see how her doctor's appointment went and she was having contractions also so I thought for sure the race was on - but Julie's died down. I arrived home and Brittney had called RC at work to meet us at the hospital and her friend Donna to come sit with the boys while we went . We finally arrived at the hospital about 6:45 and Andrew arrived at 8:24 - RC was about 20 to 25 minutes behind us I called him and he was going to stop a couple of places and I told him he didn't have time - she was between a 5 & a 6 when we first got there.
March 24 - was all taking the boys to see their brother and mommy at the hospital. They didn't have a nap so by 7:30 p.m. when we were leaving they were pretty wired. We came home watched a couple of shows they finally crashed and we were in bed by 10
March 25 - We picked grandpa up at the airport and went straight to the hospital to introduce Grandpa to Andrew. Grandpa and I left to go do some errands and by the time we got back to the hospital it was almost time to leave. We left at about 3:30 and stopped by Target on the way home - so Andrew saw then inside of a store before he saw the inside of a house.
March 26 - We all went to church and lunch (Brittney was sick of being cooped up) and then when we got home Julie and Eric came to meet Andrew (with the boys - Seth was not impressed) Nanna and Grandpa John came to see him (RC's mom & Grandfather).
March 27 -29 RC was off with Britt and the boys - I worked and tried to figure out all the stuff Dave used to do on his own and no own else knew anything about it - like the WIP report (work in progress not WHIP but I felt Whipped when it was over)
March 30 - AC turned 4 (his party is Sunday at 3 at Chuck E Cheese) but we went to supper at Chilli's where they sang Happy Birthday to him so he was pleased.
March 31 - I got up with the stomach virus that Trace had been fighting all week. YUCK - went to work had a wedding rehearsal and then decided to do the Month in a Review. Still waiting on Julie to have her baby but I know it will happen in April (the doctors would NEVER let her go that long - she's due April 1) Wow what a month of major changes. I'm glad it is over - but for the most part it's been quite a ride!
