Lonely, Sick & Broke

Yep that's me right now!

My daughter & SIL with the grandkids have gone home to Texas :( said day! My daughter & her family that live here are recooping considering the full 3 weeks that her sister & family were here they were here practically daily. So a house that was full of children's laughter & screams & fights & fits is now SILENT! It's kind of nice yet it is also kind of LONELY. Prior to their leaving Rylee & Trace both came down with some kind bug and like their mothers have taught them they shared nicely. With Grandma that is!

I've been achey, coughing, running fever and having a constant headache the last 3 days. I left work early Wednesday afternoon with a MONSTER of a headache & it's gone down hill from then on. Yesterday I coughed so hard I got sick, I jumped up to make it to the bathroom and kicked the rocking chair and broke my toe. So I'm no in that great of shape.

So as you can see from the pictures previously posted we had a great time while Nyki was here. I'll give you a quick highlight:

The girls have cooked for us a few times (great food).
We've gone to 3 different malls (even saw SANTA)
We spent time playing games & watching TV
Went to church & SS
We spent 2 nights in Orlando
We went to DisneyWorld (with three kids in Diapers it's not recommended but hey we made the best of it! It also had snowed (just flurries) but snowed in Orlando the night we got up to go to Disney so it was cold but the delight in the eyes of the kids (including Nyki & Jeremy who had never been there) made it worth it.
We made Nyki's family miss their flight (we thought it was Saturday morning - so when Nyki checked the time to leave on Friday evening so she could tell her friend when to pick her up - we discovered their flight was Friday morning not Saturday) So we got a bonue 4 days with them :)
They're home safe & sound (and seriously considering moving here - which would make this Grandma HAPPY!)

So now your caught up in my life - what's up with yours?

As Promised

As Promised a few postings ago here is the map of Places We Have Been.

You can see by the Key that Randy has been so MANY more places than I have.

See my YELLOW compared to all of Randy's BLUE (Canada & England trump my Italy any day! Not to mention my little bitty DC).

Together we have seen a good bit of the USA and hopefully will se even more before too long.

Goodbye, Hello, Hello, Goodbye

These seem to be the words I say the most lately.

First Goodbye!
My parents were here for my birthday & left on Halloween Day. So Goodbye Momma & Daddy. Now for the things I learned while they were here.
  1. The world did not come to an end because my house wasn't spotless when my mother came to visit
  2. No matter how old you are it is always nice to be your parents little girl again (even if it's only for a short time)
  3. I would not have survived having the 3 boys by myself, they were a HUGE help. (even if Trace did tell me on Saturday night - that there was too many Grandmas here.)

First Hello!
Randy came home from Chicago (having been home only about 36 hours in a 3 week period.)
Luckily he was able to fly in earlier than expected so we were able to go Camping! (pictures to follow!) His next schedule trip is December 4. We had Monday night alone only since we were camping Friday & Saturday and I co-coordinated a wedding of a Friend of mine's son.

Another Hello!
Nyki & her family flew in Tuesday morning. (Well actually afternoon thanks to flight changes.) So we have house guests again. Our lovely daughter will be with us for 3 weeks. We have 2 wonderful grandchildren laughing & playing in our house for 3 weeks. Our SIL has to go back on Sunday for a week but will be back in time for Thanksgiving :). Last night we listened to laughter - shouts of joy and tears, fits all the wonderful noises that grandkids make times 5! Britt got to see her new nephew Jakob and Nyki got to meet her new nephew Andrew. Rylee runs around calling "My Brittney" and cried really hard when she had to leave her last night. Andrew is enamored with Uncle Jeremy! Trace cuddles with Aunt Nyki. It's like they know in their hearts the love of an extended family!

Another Goodbye!
So much for Randy being home until December - due to issues at work he had to leave this morning for Montana until Saturday urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I don't think they pay him enough for this CRAP!

Well now you know what's going on in my life - What's up with yours?

Of the Places I've been (in the US)

Look I've been coast to coast & top to bottom. (Wait until you see Randy's - WOW!)
