Valentine's Day Test

Yes I realize I'm slow - Yes I know V day was almost a week ago. But play my game anyway PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before we take the test let me give you the low down of my life. I flew to Dallas on Friday the 9th - Had to be at the airport at 5:30 a.m. - Landed in Dallas got my luggage, my rental car, answered the phone it was work, started driving to my daughters answered the phone it was work, got on a conference call for work, still driving to my daughters. Got to Nyki's about 15 minutes before Shawn & Tasha. We visited while waiting for Jakob to wake up. We loaded the kids and went to my sister-in-laws to see my Brother-in-Law. Had a GREAT visit with him and my MIL, my sister-in-law came home we spent a few minutes more visiting and headed back to Nyki's because her husband was cooking supper. Spent that night with Nyki - my neice in law (heck a few years back she was one of my own girls - my daughter Britt's best friend) and nephew arrived at Nyki's in the middle of the night with the great nephew Trae', Rylee woke up around 5:30 and went to join her parents in town and about freaked because they were sleeping in the living room. Jakob woke up shortly afterwards and since my body said it was 6:30 I just got up with him and we played in his room until Emily came up to join us (Jeremy had already left for work) Stephen and Trae' came up to play also, then Rylee joined us so I stomped on the floor to wake Nyki up. We all put on our swimsuits (after making french toast) and went swimming at Shawn & Tasha's hotel. The swimming pool was so hot - we kicked Emily out after about 45 minutes because of her being pregnant and all. We literally got out of the pool and into the "hot" tub to cool off.......believe me it wasn't hot in any form!

Okay Okay this is taken too long and I'm bored so I'm sure y'all are also!

Speed update now going on!

Saturday - spent more time with Randy's sister, 2 brothers, mother & sister-in-law. We all had a great time (well at least I did)

Sunday went to eat lunch and say goodbye to Shawn & Tasha who had to get back to "A" town. I went and checked into hotel work had reserved for the training. Saw Randy's sister, mother, and brother again.

Monday- Training - Happy hour with the group and then to my room for supper and catch up on sleep

Tuesday - Training - Supper with Nyki and her family back to Hotel

Wednesday - Randy got up early in California (oh yeah he went to California for work) to wish me a Happy V Day. Training - Supper with my friend Kim and her daughter Taren and new little one I had never met Kyla. Went to my friend Debbies house and back to Hotel

Thursday - Training (You need to understand these were 12 hour days for training) and then to Sister in Law's to pick up my jacket and back to Nyki's where my parents were meeting me.

Friday - Spent with my parents and started feeling like crap! Nyki wasn't feeling very good either. Did some shopping

Saturday - Thought I was going to die with the stomach flu and just hung with Nyki, Jeremy and the kids after telling Mom & Dad goodbye. Up most of the night with Nyki & Jakob (Rylee was up just because we were) DYING!

Sunday - Flew back home - getting here shortly after noon - huring off the plane to go puck and deal with the other side-effects of the stomach flu. Randy met me at the airport with a yellow rose (my favorite!!!!!!) gathered my luggage and headed home for me to die. I get in the car and Randy has a Diet Coke & Crackers waiting for me.

Monday - Wednesday - Work Work Work and More Work. Haven't seen Britt's boys because I was sick and afraid I'd share my stomach flu with them and then they had to leave town. RC had a death in the family and they've gone to Georgia for his Aunt's funeral.

QUIZ TIME:
What is the most romantic act Randy did for me for Valentine's Day?
A. Got up early to call me before my class started
B. Set his alarm to call me and wake me up at 5:30 Sunday morning so I can make it to the airport on time.
C. Met me when I got off the plane with my favorite Rose (just like the ones from our wedding)
D. Brought me a Diet Coke & crackers because he knew I was sick?

an "A" Posting

Affair: I'm having an affair - I know I'm shocked also! I have met a MAN at the airport for the last 3 Friday nights (late - after 11 p.m.) and have slept with him. But I figure it's okay since it has been my Husband all 3 nights. (He came in from Chicago 2 weeks in a roll and then me from Boston last week)

Alarm: I was startled awake the first night in Boston at 4 a.m. by a fire alarm. I got up got dressed grabbed my purse and other items I wouldn't want to lose and headed downstairs. Where when I met some co-workers I was chastised for taking time to dress and grab the few things I had. (My boss' boss came down after me with everything he had with him - having experienced losing everything with him at a hotel previously due to fire). The alarm was finally cleared and we could return up stairs to our rooms for about 1 more hour of sleep YUK!

Awake: I have not spent so much time awake as I have in the last 3 weeks! I do not sleep well while Randy is gone and then to follow his two trips with one of my own - I've operated on very little sleep - but I have discovered the Court TV has some rocking shows on in middle of the night about true crime and solving old cases. I'm hoping some time soon to get caught up on sleep - last night I actually slept ALL NIGHT LONG!

Advice: I was talking with my mom and mentioned that I had so much sinus pressure that I thought my eyes were going to bug out of my head. She suggested Mucinex DM for relief (goggling to confirm spelling I found out it is different from Musinex - WAY DIFFERENT) Anyway - I tried it and it was some great ADVICE! I felt so much better in Boston & since I have been home!

Antartica: I have discoverd what Antartica must feel like - last Friday when I got up and was leaving for my training class it was 1 degree (that is NOT a typo) with a wind chill of -18. I have no desire to live in the North! I know why Snow Birds come here to Florida for the winter - I have NEVER BEEN so cold in my life!!!!!!!!

Adored: I felt so adored by my loving husbands post. I'm so glad he is mine (eat your heart out girls) I came home to a vacummed house - a couple of loads of laundry being done (leaving the ones he knew I would have stuff to add to when I got home) and best of all - He met me at the airport was there waiting on me when we got in 20 minutes early and had brought me a propel knowing I always come in thirsty. HE LOVES ME SO MUCH! He even went to a Bill Gaither concert with me (he hates that kind of music) and set by me and smiled when I smiled and made sure I had a good time! He's the best and he adores me as much as I adore him!

Apology: I posted a few weeks back about how hurt I was. Well in voicing my hurt I hurt others and that was not my intention at ALL. However, I must stand by my feelings that this is my blog and I should be able to say what I feel (within reason) on/in it. However, as my mother has always told me MY RIGHTS end where someone else's begin, and not everyone is comfortable with having family laundry out for everyone to see. (So I guess in stead of blogging I need to figure out how I can come up with the $$ to see a councelor because I am killing myself leaving it bottle up inside me! However, I do not want anyone else hurt by my venting)

Randy Here Again

If you couldn’t tell, TJ is out of town, she’s made her way from Semi-Sunny Florida to Cold, Damp, Snowy Boston. I miss her a lot, but she comes home Friday.

Most of the time I leave the posting to Twila, she’s much more interesting than me and a better writer (speller too). Anyway, I just thought I would drop a line in here to let everybody know she’s still around.

I was talking with a friend of mine from Boston (who is in Tampa today) about my family. He couldn’t believe that at 46 I’m a grandfather of 5. Yeah we started young and I’m sure if you were to ask our kids, they would say we needed to learn a lot about parenting before we had kids, but we had fun raising them. There is a lot to be said about having time alone before the kids arrive, but when you have kids at 18 and 19, you get the privilege of growing up with them. I think we may have been better suited to keep up with them than the parents that wait until they are in their late 20’s or 30’s. Just a hunch. We were friends with our kids, but we never tried to be their best friends like some parents. They still seem to like us (even when we don’t have money “LOL”). Now we have 3 great kids, 2 great son in laws, 1 great daughter in law and 5 of the best Grandkids in the World!!!

AC came over and spent Sunday with me, TJ had already left so it was just him and me. He wanted pizza so I stopped at the store and bought a frozen one, call me cheap, but the kid just doesn’t eat a lot. Well, he ate 3 pieces and then an ice cream. After he was done with lunch and his show, we went out and rode our bikes. He’s still on training wheels, but he rode a mile or so. Yes as a XC bike rider (see post about broken bones), I’m proud. I can’t wait until he’s big enough to go out with RC (his dad) and me. Oh, I didn’t have to clean his room (computer room has all of their toys in it), what little he got out, he put up!!!

Just because I only talked about AC, don’t think I don’t love the rest of them, they just didn’t spend the day with me.

Back to my sorta point, Now that we are young Grandparents, we have that time that most couples get at the first of their marriage. I have to say, I cherish it, I can’t think of anyone I would rather spend my time with. Now we don’t follow all the rules that “Marriage Experts” give, we watch TV in the evenings sometimes without talking, we spend time on the computers without talking, but we find that just being together is enough sometimes. For all of you out there in Blog land, stay friends with your mate, after 27 years I have no better friend than mine!

Enough of my rambling,
Randy

So I don't have it THAT bad!

I've said before that Randy comes in from a trip and checks on his bike before kissing me. I am joking when I say that. I do get a kiss and a hug first.

Well I have to say at least this hasn't happened - well at least it hasn't yet! But then again we have a tent big enough for the both of us women in his life. Me and the bike.
